Adam K. Stern has been a Wall Street Venture Capitalist with a special emphasis on the technology and life sciences industry for over 30 years and has served as a member of the board of directors of Aerami Therapeutics since December 2014. Mr. Stern has been the Head of Private Equity Banking at Aegis Capital Corp. and CEO of SternAegis Ventures since December 2012.Prior to SternAegis, from 1997 to 2012, he was Senior Managing Director, Head of Structured Finance at Spencer Trask Ventures. From 1989 to 1997 Mr Stern was with Josephthal & Co., Members of the New York Stock Exchange, where he served as Managing Director of Private Equity Investment Banking. He has been a FINRA licensed securities broker since 1987 and a General Securities Principal since 1991. Mr. Stern is a current director of Matinas Biopharma Holdings, Inc. (NYSE MKT: MTNB) and DarioHealth Corp. (NASDAQ Capital Market: DRIO) and is a former director of InVivo Therapeutics, (NASDAQ Global Market: NVIV), Organovo Holdings, (NASDAQ Global Market: ONVO), and PROLOR Biotech, prior to its sale in 2013 to Opko Health, Inc. (NASDAQ Global Market: OPK) for approximately $600 million. Mr. Stern graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree from The University of South Florida in 1987.

Cassel Shapiro, CFA, Senior Managing Director of Private Equity Investment Banking, joined Aegis Capital Corp. and SternAegis Ventures in January 2013. Mr. Shapiro also serves as Manager of Tech Insight Management LLC and Aegis Special Situations Management LLC, managers respectively of Tech Insight Partners LLC, Aegis Special Situations Funds I & II LLC, and Aegis Special Situations QP Fund LLC. Mr. Shapiro is a CFA Charterholder, a Microsoft Certified Application Developer in C# .Net (MCAD.Net), and has attained the FINRA 7, 63, 55 (Nasdaq Trader), 24 (Securities Principal) and 87 (Research Director) designations. He holds a B.S.B.A., finance concentration, from Boston University Questrom School of Management. Cassel currently serves on the board of DermaSensor, Inc.
